A fixture for five years now, the Vespa Trophy also gathered participants from 18 different nations for the 2015 Croatian edition. Not only foreigners for this Vespa Trophy, indeed the 2015 podium is all tricolour.
In first place once again was Vespa Club Sirmione, followed by Vespa Club Cerignola and the VR37100 team. Another Italian club on the roads to Biograd was Vespa Club Panormus, fourth place in its first year of competition. The foreign teams followed: Ticino, Belgrade and all the others.
A special thanks to the veterans of our touring trophy, who take to the roads every year wherever the final destination is, embodying the true Vespa spirit. In this regard, the story of Felice, from Vespa Club Lonigo, deserves special mention: in ten years of travelling by Vespa to the location of the various rallies, he has never been abandoned by his Piaggio-branded companion. A true test of mutual love.
There are many curious and peculiar stories of our heroes, including the tale of Janet and Pie, two Taiwanese youngsters. Their passion for the Vespa drove them to leave their home country, reach Rome then Bologna, where they rented a Vespa for Biograd Na Moru and the Vespa World Days 2015.
But they are not the only ones to have travelled many kilometres. Two friends from Vespa Club Mexico decided to join the big Vespa party, bringing their colours, traditions, cheerfulness and friendliness.
2000 km was the distance covered by a member of Vespa Club Saint-Petersburg: “It wasn’t easy to cross the whole of Europe alone, but it’s always a great satisfaction and joy to be able to do it on your Vespa.
