VESPA TROPHY 3rd EDITION - 2012

The highlight of Vespa World Days 2012 was the prize-giving ceremony for the winners of the Vespa Tropgy, the competition between Vespa travellers who witnessed, with photos and special stamps in their travel books, all the stages on their journey to London by passing through 1752 checkpoints scattered across 25 countries. All Vespa Clubs could participate: the aim was to reach London by 14 June by visiting as many Piaggio check points and with as many Vespas as possible.
The 2012 edition was won by an Italian club, the Sirmione club whose members travelled 1,610 km on their Vespas to reach London. The loudest applause and much sympathy went to the caravan of Vespa riders from Canada and Argentina.
Second place went to the boys from the Vespa Club of Pordenone, already winners of the 2012 National Tourism Trophy. In third place, finally, was the Vespa Club of Ticino, a veteran of the Vespa Trophy (having participated in all editions), this year with friends and even their daughter, Melany.

Number of registered Vespa Clubs: 32 from 14 countries. Participating Vespa riders: 104
Number of checkpoints: 1752 in 25 countries
