In 2026, Vespa celebrates its 80th anniversary in the heart of Rome, the Eternal City.
A unique event that replaces Vespa World Days, with the same ability to bring together thousands of Vespisti and Vespa Clubs from around the world to celebrate not only an iconic vehicle, but a lifestyle, a community and a story that spans generations.
Four days of passion, encounters, experiences and celebration in one of the most extraordinary cities in the world.
VESPA AND ROME
1946 marks the birth of both Vespa and the Italian Republic, with Rome as its capital.
Vespa and Rome share a profound history: in a pivotal moment for a nation looking towards the future with hope, they became universal symbols of freedom, beauty and rebirth.
Rome established Vespa in the global collective imagination, from classic cinema to contemporary productions.
Today, 80 years after its birth, Vespa returns to the Capital to celebrate this extraordinary journey together with its global community.
FORO ITALICO
The Vespa Village will be hosted within the remarkable Foro Italico complex, one of the symbolic landmarks of Italian sport, located just minutes from Rome’s historic centre.
Foro Italico offers a unique setting that combines architecture, nature and history, creating the perfect backdrop for this celebration.

A journey through images, design, and freedom
An exhibition dedicated to the Vespa’s 80th anniversary, designed to trace the evolution of an Italian icon that has become a global symbol of style, freedom, and mobility.
Through a selection of images from the Piaggio historical archive and other prestigious archives, as well as photographs taken specifically for the occasion, the exhibition takes visitors on a journey across eras, cultures, and generations: from the origins of the legend to its presence in the contemporary imagination.
A visual narrative celebrating Vespa as a protagonist of mobility, culture, cinema, art, and daily life, capturing all the energy of an icon that has been speaking to the world for 80 years.
The photographic exhibition is curated by master photographer Giacomo Bretzel, an internationally renowned artist, in collaboration with Condé Nast Traveller Italia.
In addition to the photographic exhibition, the display will feature a selection of special Vespa models, historic vehicles, and pieces that represent a unique legacy.
This is an opportunity to get an up-close look at the details, designs, and stories that have helped make the Vespa instantly recognizable around the world: not just a mode of transportation, but a symbol of Italian creativity, passion and freedom.
Vespa Meets Urban Art
To celebrate its 80th anniversary, Vespa has unveiled a monumental urban artwork created by Italian illustrator Federico Epis in collaboration with Outdoora.
The mural offers a contemporary interpretation of the enduring bond between Vespa and Rome, celebrating the values that have made Vespa an icon across generations: freedom, movement, discovery and the joy of sharing experiences.
REGISTRATION
The event is open to Vespisti who are duly registered members of a local Vespa Club affiliated with a National Vespa Club that is a member of the Vespa World Club.
Only original Vespa vehicles and Vespa Cosa models, duly type-approved, insured and authorised for road circulation in accordance with applicable regulations, will be admitted.
Registrations will open on 14 February 2026 at 12:00 (Italian time).
Participant numbers will be limited; during the initial registration phase (10 days), a nationality-based allocation system will be applied in order to ensure the widest possible representation of National Vespa Clubs, regardless of time zone and club size.
